Swansea is great for Watersports. The Gower Peninsula has some of the finest surfing beaches in the world. The coastline has the second highest tidal range in the world. But watersports in Swansea isn’t just about surfing – there are many other activities to participate in.
Sailing, kitesurfing, diving, canoeing, coasteering, sailing, powerboating, paddleboarding, windsurfing, waterskiing, and wakeboarding – a whole range of outdoor watersports activities which is backed up by a number of activity providers – we will be listing them here shortly.

But that’s not all. In Swansea you can even surf indoors. Swansea has Wales’ biggest indoor water park with a network of pools, rides and slides, including the standing Boardrider where you can catch a wave indoors. But it is not only indoor surfing that is on offer at the LC, one of Swansea’s top attractions. Other activities include Swimming, a Water Park, Climbing, a Spa, a Play area and a Gym.
The LC is open all week, all year, from 6.30am-10pm (Mon-Fri) and 7.30am-9pm (Weekends) although individual areas have their own opening times.

There is also the Wales National Pool Swansea in Sketty, which caters for a wide range of aquatic and multi sport activities including lane swimming for competent swimmers, recreational swimming – great for non-swimmers & families, splash & play sessions – fun for children & families and a comprehensive ‘learn to swim’ programme for adults & children.
